Oct 11, 2010 · I am writing this post in response to one of our readers who could not find a way to disable Google safe Browsing in Firefox and IE. Today we will talk about how to do that in Firefox. Even though I think its a great feature protecting your from malacious sites, some of you would like to disable it due to privacy concerns.
Private browsing in Firefox lets you browse the internet without having your browsing history tracked. Once you've turned off private browsing, you can turn it back on at any time. The purpose of safe browsing databases is to stop users from accessing these sites and exposing themselves to attack. Of course it’s not always so cut and dry. As stated, I actually use Firefox. I believe it has the best security/privacy combo in this roundup. It’s also much cleaner and easier to use, and better at rendering pages, in my opinion. And based on my safe browsing habits, it does not concern me enough to change.
